2017 was an extraordinary year for condo sales in Yorkville Toronto. Demand made for a faster market with sales numbers in all categories rising significantly.
The average sold price per square foot broke above the $1000/SF barrier. Overall the average sold price per sq. ft. now sits at $1,115 up 21% from last year’s $918.
Unlike, the Toronto housing market, Yorkville condos did not experience a slowdown or a reduction in sale prices when the Foreign Buyer’s Tax was announced. In May 2017, while Toronto house prices were falling, Yorkville condo prices were actually rising.
The average sold price for a Yorkville condo is now $1,166,268 up 6% from 2016.
In 2017, 30% more units sold and they sold 5 days faster than in 2016.
Yorkville Luxury Condo Sales Over $2 Million
Yorkville’s luxury condo market had a similar trajectory with faster sales and a greater number of suite sales than in 2016.
The sold price per square foot is up 14% from last year, now sitting at $1365. On average, a Yorkville luxury condo will now cost you $3.331M, up 5% from 2016.
Of the 51 Yorkville luxury condo suites that sold over $2M in 2017, six of these suites sold above the $5 Million mark.
