One of the Toronto Star websites has confirmed that Bazis International has purchased 838, 840, 842, 844, 846 & 848 Yonge Street, a series of commercial buildings with stores at street level and two levels of apartments above. The section of properties is located one block north Bloor Street between Cumberland Street and Yorkville Avenue on Yonge.
The properties purchased start from the La Mexicana Restaurant and extends to Dlish Cupcakes, one store past the Subway restaurant but does not include The Cookbook Store at 850 Yonge Street on the south east corner of Yonge & Yorkville Avenue.
There has been no word yet from the Buyer, Bazis International, on their plans for the site located directly across the street from the Toronto Reference Library. Bazis is not new to condo development in Yorkville as Bazis was the builder of the Crystal Blu at 21 Balmuto Street and is currently one of three developers involved in the building of Exhibit Residences at 200 Bloor Street West.
